A brief history
Lorenzo de Agrelo the project began as a dream, almost 10 years ago. Two friends, Marcelo Tinelli and Hernán de Laurente, with a lot in common and wine as a great passion.
As a result of the exploration and the nights of reflection we found a magical place in Alto Agrelo, in the heart of Luján de Cuyo. This place, known as "The land of Malbec", was responsible for taking Argentina to a global category. This is where today a new high altitude region, with unique characteristics, takes center stage.
Desquisiados Wines
Polo Bodega y Viñedos, was born as a family business more than 25 years ago. Founded by Ramón Polo, our father, who with his vision united the family in a project that has already begun its first two generations.
Located in the center of Paraje Altamira, a cold and high altitude area par excellence, on Contastini street between La Superiora and Costa Canal Uco. I use grapes from the Cuartel Viejo and Los Cejos barracks that produce an average of 5,500 kilos per hectare. Harvest by hand, in boxes of 17 kilos, during the third week of April. High density trellises. The plants come from a mass selection of the old "French grape" vineyards characteristic of this south-west area of the Uco Valley. Traditional mantle irrigation, guyot pruning.
